These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Northshore Tree Service website and our tree care services. By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.

Services

Northshore Tree Service provides professional tree care services including but not limited to:

  • Tree removal
  • Tree trimming and pruning
  • Stump grinding
  • Emergency storm damage response
  • Lot and land clearing
  • Tree risk assessment
  • Emerald ash borer treatment

Estimates and Pricing

  • All estimates are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified.
  • Estimates are based on information available at the time of assessment. Actual costs may vary if unforeseen conditions are discovered during work.
  • We will notify you of any additional costs before proceeding with work beyond the original estimate.
  • Prices are subject to change for new quotes.

Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made in writing.
  • We accept cash, check, and major credit cards.
  • For larger projects, a deposit may be required before work begins.
  • Late payments may incur additional fees as permitted by law.

Scheduling and Cancellation

  • Scheduled work is subject to weather conditions. We reserve the right to reschedule for safety reasons.
  • Please provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations.
  • Emergency services are subject to availability and may be prioritized based on safety considerations.

Property Access and Preparation

  • You agree to provide reasonable access to your property for us to perform services.
  • Please inform us of underground utilities, irrigation systems, septic systems, or other features that may affect work.
  • Remove vehicles, lawn furniture, and personal items from the work area before our arrival.
  • Ensure pets are secured during service.

Insurance and Liability

  • Northshore Tree Service maintains comprehensive liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage.
  • Certificates of insurance are available upon request.
  • We are not responsible for damage to underground features (utilities, irrigation, septic) that were not disclosed prior to work.
  • We exercise due care but are not responsible for pre-existing damage to lawns, driveways, or landscaping that may be affected by equipment access.

Work Practices

  • All work is performed by trained professionals following industry best practices and safety standards.
  • Our ISA Certified Arborist oversees significant tree care decisions.
  • We follow ANSI A300 pruning standards.
  • Debris is removed and the work area is left clean unless otherwise agreed.

Warranty

  • We stand behind the quality of our work. If you are not satisfied, please contact us within 7 days of service completion.
  • We do not guarantee the survival of pruned or treated trees, as tree health depends on many factors beyond our control.
  • Stump grinding eliminates the visible stump but does not remove the entire root system. Regrowth from remaining roots is possible with some species.
